Sieves for grain cleaning machines

The optimal mode of cleaning of grain and seeds is achieved by the correct selection of sieves according to the needed shape and size of thesieve perforation. At the same time, the performance capacity of sieves with enlarged holes is higher than that of sieves with round holes, which, however, gives a certain advantage in terms of separation quality.

 

The processing of large quantities of grain and seeds with separation of fragments of weeds and grain impurities is carried out by means of grain cleaning machines. The principle of their operation is based on the difference in physical and mechanical properties and morphological properties of grain and its impurities.

Depending on the purpose of the sieves there are scalping sieves, sorting sieves and seed sieves. Scalping sieves are designed to separate grain from coarse impurities (stem particles, coarse impurities, etc.). The perforation of these sieves are selected so that all grain with small impurities passes through, and coarse impurities make up the screenings. Sorting sieves are used to separate the seeds of the main crop. Large seeds, in this case, make up the screenings, and small seeds — pass through.

For sorting the seeds of grain crops, sieves with elongated holes are used. Seed sieves are used to separate grain from small impurities (mineral impurities, weed seeds, etc.). For this purpose, the sieves with round and elongated perforation are used.
